I'm just curious.. Please tell me your opinion.
Do you think/feel that fisting without gloves is equally unsafe to fucking without gloves or do you think/feel that unsafe fisting is safer than unsafe fucking?
Do you think or know that there's more risc for the bottom than for the top?
What do the facts tell us?

I think that it always pays to play safe. You may think that the risk is smaller but is it worth it....?

Using gloves is insurance against being damaged internally by fingernails.
Also - in my opinion - the sensation is smoother / better.
Latex is smooth and enables my partner to penetrate deeper.
Better for punchfucking too ..

This is true :) and apart from the first few times I was fisted I have always played safe. I think when you start out you have this idea that its safe because of the lack of cum and all is well. I was luck to meet an experienced fister/fistee who explained some of the finer details of safe fisting and more importantly why:D ...

Hi there,
It seems that fisting without gloves is low risk for HIV..... BUT There is growing evidence that links Hep C transmission to fisting without gloves, Hep C is a nasty disease, there is no vaccine and many people cannot clear the infection and consequently become chronic carriers. Once chronically infected you are likely to get liver cancer within ten years but progress is more rapid when HIV co-infection exists. HIV+ people are more at risk of being infected and are more likely not to clear the disease, we can presume that barebackers are HIV+ or will be sooner or later: so playing without gloves sounds like asking for trouble

As a PA & Health Educator I would not recommend fisting without gloves, to many STD's, among other problems. Always protect yourself as well as your partners???

I dont use gloves with my regular fist partner and I have to say I prefer it that way. If I play with a guy and he wants me to use them/wants to use them on me, I have no problem with that.

For the bottom, having the top wear gloves can prevent scratching, transferring nail fungus infections, MSRA and other bio agent contamination beyond STD's. Good gloves can be smoother than most hands. Clean up for the top is much easier. Smell your washed fingernails after a long session with a less than 100% clean btm. May change your practices.

May I ask this question now? How unsafe are toys? I think about possible infections caused by unclean toys. I think toys have to be washed before use, and after the session. Toys should not lay about after use. Also not going for one ass to another without washing. Have members some other ideas?

The pleasure of assplay is too good to have it interrupted by having an infection ou unnecessary irritation. Everything going up your ass should be clean, including toys. Start with clean toys, keep them clean during play, wipe down, then wash post play. Don't share without washing. Keeping toys in a clean bucket or pan during play works well. Cover surfaces with paper towl/chuck pads or clean rags if you are going to place toys on them. If a toy contacts the floor, or other less than clean surface, take it out of play until washed, same for a gloved hand. Wiping down before washing makes cleanup easier. Silicon and many better vinyl toys can be washed (seperate batch/no dishes) in the dishwasher. Stand them up to prevent dents or dishrack ridges in softer toys. Note, washing in the dishwasher can smell much worse than dishes. Even "cleaned" toys can generate a burning hair stench in the DW. Suggest running an extra cycle before cleaning eating dishes. Don't tell visiting family members all the things you can clean in the dishwasher.

CLEANING:
Always clean your rubber toys in warm - not boiling water!!
-soapy water with a household washing-up liquid is good.
Dry your toys completely and never store themn away wet.
Cover in a light covering of a baby powder is always good.
Dishwashing your toys is very non-hygiene, as the temperature is too HIGH.
STORAGE:
I always keep my toys out of direct sunlight (don't want the neighbours to see them hahahaha)
Never store heavy itms on your toys, it may damge you toys.
USAGE:
I have been told that oil-based lubes (Crisco) will breakdown the rubber in any toys over time.
Warming toys in the mircowave is a big NO!!! Mircowaves work by heating from the inside out. The rubber will become unstable from the inside. Warm your toys up in warm water.
I say, if you treat your toys as above they will give you continuse enjoyment.
Hope this helps some of you to look after your toys. Enjoy, stay safe.

I used to let the bottom determine if I should be gloved or not. Now that I am poz, I glove all the time safer for both of us. I keep both latex and nitrile gloves to use. I figure there some out there who can handle the latex.. Both cost about the same for me.

I found an excellent disinfectant to clean my toys, furniture and play area. It is ironically found in pet stores that sell birds.
It is called Pet Focus ( avian formula - by mango pet product inc (http://www.mangopet.com). ). It is a one-step disinfectant, cleaner, fungicide, mildewstat virucide and deodorizer. It can handle a wide range of icky things out there.
I use it on everything. I all have to do after soaking (5-20mins) or cleaning is to rinse off and good to go.

I agree about keeping toys clean.
I wash them with Lactacyd after use.

bare hand fisting is nice, but it is advisable to use latex gloves, especially when getting punch-fisted. Some bleeding may occur and by using gloves we are always on the safe site.

I always play with gloves. I bring my own vinyl gloves, because latex give irritations inside of me. As a top, I use either vinyl or latex.

All,
Vinyl gloves are safer than nothing, butt I hate them in my ass. They do not stretch much so fit is not good. May as well be covering the hand with a plastic trash bag. Wrinkles irritate and hurt and get raw/sore quickly, causing the ass not to relax. Wearing vinyl to top makes it harder to give a bottom pleasure. Nitrile gloves sized to fit smoothly are best for those that can not tolerate latex.
Cheers!

we always wear black rubber gloves when playing tight an wrinkle free.. all toys are washed of excess lube etc, then a gentle sterlised rinsed in dishwasher on a low setting.. we've never had problem with smell or discolouring.. have some gr8 pics of a fully loaded DW after a heavy session one weekend, we got throught 35 toys.. half our collection.

Toy supplier Creative Mouldings specifically warns against putting your toys in the dishwasher.
I prefer fisting without gloves. But I figure that when fisting with relative strangers gloves are advisable.

Hey guys,
Iīm into fisting 25 years now and also HIV+ since that time. So, when I entered the scene it starts to be popular to use gloves and rubber. I nearly always play safe, sometimes with good known friends I forget the rubber.
My practice over the years tells me, thatīs more comfortable and smooth for both, top and bot, when gloves are used. The other side efect is, thatīs not as risky as without.
If you donīt want get an infection, play safe and use rubber always.
When you are using toys, they always should be cleaned before and after using, if you want use them safe and for longer time. Some dildos and plugs made of latex donīt like crsco over days. Best lube for toys is something like waterbased j-lube or Siliconoil.
Have FFun an play safe guys

Fisting as a top/bottom, you should always use gloves, especially if you are HIV +. You can buy Examination Gloves at a Pharmacy and/or but the longer gloves that go all the way to the Elbow and/or past the Elbow.
Safe is better then sorry:heart: Have FFUN

Anybody can get HIV in so many ways. Fist is an extreme practice, but if you choose your partners with accuracy and wisdom, well you can be safe. Of course if you go to gay venues and practice unprotected sex with anybody or the first guy you meet, it may de dangerous. If you know your mates very well you shouldn' t worry. I repeat: VERY WELL.

In my view, you never can know if somebody has an infection/disease. I have seen so many people see the signs in themselves and refuse to get checked out. To be honest, it really peeves me off. I don't think I will ever have unprotected sex again for as long as I live. Apart from with my long term partner.
USE GLOVES, END OF STORY!

Poor you, I had a lucky escape a few years ago. My bf found out he was HIV+ and we'd been having unprotected sex for several months. He couldn't handle the changed situation and so we broke up.

I fisted a guy that was positive without gloves. He bled a lot too but said it was ok. The next day I found scabs on my hand (small ones) I did freak out a bit afterward and was tested several times. Nothing- no HIV, no STDs, nothing after six months. I don't blame anyone who plays without gloves and I would play with him again or anyone with HIV, but I would use gloves now. It is a personal choice and one that should be made with some education.

I last much longer and am much more comfortable afterward if my top is using gloves. Fingernails and hair can be very irritating.

Gloves are important. No matter how well your top cleans his hands and fingernails, there can be bacteria or viruses under the nails. It is no fun to have a great time with a wonderful fist up your ass and go home with an infection.

The rectum itself is full of bacteria of all kinds. I'm not sure but my feeling is that the immunity of the rectum and lower intestine to bacterial/viral infection must fairly good until the famous "microfissures" occur and open a route to the blood stream. Part of the solution therefore is avoiding the occurrence of microfissures and plenty of lube certainly helps, and a slow and steady approach to anal sex and fisting is therefore also advisable.
Syphilis infections are on the increase here (Belgium/Netherlands) and as you all know syphilis can be contracted by skin contact, so maybe that undermines my general view of the relative safety of fisting vs fucking.
Personally though I enjoy fisting more with a naked hand than with a glove.
