A few years back, there was a site with a German-made machine called something like "pneumann". it workied with compressed air. I wanted to buy one, but the price-tag of about 1000 EUros was too much. Now I have the money and I cannot find it. Anybody can help?

I bought mine through kenstwistedmind.com. I remember reading on their site that they do custom work. There was mention of a pneumatic machine made for a movie. I spent $1000 for my machine I can only imagine the price on one of those.

I have a pneumatic machine that was made by AMR (American Medical Robotics). The machine cost me somewhere around $900 if I recall correctly. What makes this machine stand out from the rest (aside from the fact that it is a pneumatic machine) is that you can adjust the stroke length while it is running; most all of the others require the machine to be turned off and then you have to re-adjust the stroke and then turn it on again. Being able to adjust both stroke speed and stroke length on the fly is very nice. Unfortunately, AMR does not appear to be in business anymore...or at least their website is no longer in existence.

I have only come across one other machine that also has adjustable speed and stroke on the fly, namely this one:
