I thought I'd share an experience I had recently. I was a keen fister for five years until about a year ago, when I decided that I didn't like the control poppers had on my sex life. You can debate whether they are addictive, but they certainly were for me. Well, given poppers and fisting seem to go together, I assumed that would be the end of being fisted. Well recently, I had an experience at the sauna that changed my mind. I met a guy who after a good session of massage and general sex, started playing with my hole. I have many of these experiences. I never used poppers in my life. Or any other drugs. And I can be fisted by three hands...

As a top I very often convince the bottom to reduce using poppers and/or drugs. Or make him use nothing at all. And as you describe, with a good foreplay, I can fist the guy always. It has to do with willingness of the bottom to "surrender" and connect mentally to the top.

So to everybody who is convinced he can't fist without chems, just do it!

During fisting I put off poppers until I feel orgasm coming. I take the poppers just to tip me over the edge.
I do use other chems though. But here again I find that less is more.

Working a hole open without poppers does take more time, poppers are a shortcut. A pragmatic dynamic is the top's stamina. If it takes you 45 min to 1 hr to get really worked open and pleasure flowing....then you want to begin your real manimal ass session!?! Many tops are tired out by the time the bottom is ready. FRUSTRATION. Toy warmups and multi rounds of probing during a session can help overcum this. Feed your top energy drinks too.
