Butt Plugs

Gentlemen,
I generally like to spend some time with a butt plug up my hole as a preliminary to more serious play with my toys. I'd like to have it stay in place while I go about other business but it seems to want to pop out. I have tried wearing a jock strap to no avail.
Any suggestions regarding how I might secure my plug?

Silicone lube is very good as i don't think it's absorbed as quickly by the body as water based or oil based would be.

Can someone chime in on this speculation?

Probably silicon lube yes.
Even so I have experimented with taking something inside for several hours at a time (my favourite is a stone egg) and note that all lubes seem to dry out after a while.
